Bill Compton and I were sitting around talking about Stuff, and we came up with the idea that it would be nice to do a half-hour radio show on KDKB that would play nothing but
traditional folk and bluegrass .... and incidentally give me a forum to expose my music to a larger audience.
I couldn't engineer the show (an FCC thing) so at first, Bill did the engineering. Then other DJs jumped in to help out, including Toad Hall and Dennis McBroom, taping it in
advance, editing out most of my stuttering in the process to make it at least a bit more professional. It was KDKB after all, so things tended to be a bit casual ......
It ran for some years, and was quite popular. I still get folks saying how much they enjoyed listening to it.
Good times!
Here's some of the shows. So far, we only have one up, but I've got more coming.
