A local TV show here in Phoenix, "Backstage Pass."
Joel Samuel did a great job showcasing local talent in a media that is too often aimed at the lowest common denominator and that seems to pride itself on how much pablum and hype
they can feed the public.
In a time when "local" usually means "no exposure," Joel broke the rules.
